Governor Scott, Right and Wrong: Concerning DROP and Corporate Prisons

July 31, 2011

Within a two-week time frame I have both praised and vehemently disagreed with Governor Rick Scott of Florida.

ON DROP

I expect solid decisions EVERY time.  I expect common sense to prevail EVERY time!  I am ashamed of Floridians who can look their neighbor in the face and feel it OK to tell them, “hey, you owe me  retirement”.  Citizen objections to contributing a lousy 3% of their pay toward their retirement is UN-reasonable and infantile.  Many of these people are new to the union build up in the last twenty years.  Our unions have coaxed people into believing that tax payer owes them a fully funded retirement, when most were lucky to see 10% matching funds from corporations not less than 10 years ago.  This way of thinking is breaking down our society to a reach in a grab mentality and is completely snuffing out any creativity.

The real fact of the matter is that older generations are prime to be the business creators of tomorrow. they instinctively know where the gaps are, enough to make a wonderful business in their communities and states and even the nation.  Everyone deserves the retirement they PAY into, but no one deserves a fully funded retirement off of the TAXPAYER back.  If private corporations make the type of profits that from your participation they in turn are able to afford you a fully funded retirement, then by all means, this is the way to go.  However, any public employee, looking to the state for a free ride for the last 30-40 years of their life is absolutely without reason, and puts the burden directly on YOUR own friends and neighbors, and fellow citizens to provide for you!

Governor Scott WINS this round and citizens are in the WRONG! I expect citizens to know this already!  Time to act like adults dear citizens!

http://m.jacksonville.com/news/florida/2011-06-21/story/gov-rick-scott-sued-over-state-worker-pension-contributions  Once again the union are in the WRONG!  Anyone participating in this lawsuit is a scab of citizenry!

“When the people find they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic.” ~ Benjamine Franklin!

On the Privatization of the Prison System.

Enough has been demonstrated by society that the mix of capitalism and corrections is an AMORAL decision!  This creates targets of 18 million Floridians, and you should now know better! In a right to work state a Statist corporation of corrections is a union hot bed, opens the door to bribery of the police force through judiciary and abuse of inmates.  GULAGS are UNACCEPTABLE for the state of Florida, and this state should not participate in such behavior!  Because of the fact that the mix of unions and public service do not mix, the powers the be at the heads of the Department of Corrections and Union bosses will be pushing for privatization amounts to nothing more than a solution to suck up tax-payer funds at an inflated rate, unaffordable benefit packages, and furthers the lies of the union promised life long retirement once again.  This is nothing more than a union ploy to remain relevant.

No wonder capitalization is getting a bad name.  this is NOT FREE market capitalism but the furtherance of STATISM, period, the END!

Governor Scott, you should know better on this issue.  This is not acceptable for the State of Florida to engage in this behavior!  I urge you and Jennifer Carroll to come up with a better solution than this!  This quasi-state-corporate relationship is a loosing proposition and is too low on the scale of the morality meter for you to fool with this notion!

And yes I expect you to KNOW that already!  Corporate prisons are the sign of a corrupt nation as much as the citizen who demand to have  fully funded retirement on state dime.

“If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that grow up around them will deprive the people of all property until their children wake up homeless on the continent they conquered.”  Thomas Jefferson

A corporate prison is merely the first step in this process!  Statist corporatism has NOTHING to do with the free market!  It is time that everyone both citizen and government put their heads back on straight in the proper position and the proper American mindset, PDQ!

http://mycuentame.org/2011/07/27/rick-scotts-new-privatizing-venture/  Any one pushing for private-public gulags is looking to the soviet union for inspiration, and NOT America.

GET BACK TO AMERICAN IDEALS OF CREATIVITY !  NOW!

Obama is ignoring this!—> A foreign navy boarded an unarmed ship flying the flag of a NATO member in international waters and shot dead an American citizen with four bullets to the head and one in the chest on Memorial Day. It did this while the head of the belligerent state was on his way to a state visit to Washington, DC, to be awarded a further $200 million in aid on top of the $3 billion of American taxpayer money the US gives away to him every year.

I have an acquaintence in a Florida prison. He found a man in his home, on top of his wife. He shot and killed the guy, who, it turns out, was there by invitation. His primary mistake was not shooting his wife when he discovered the truth. In for a lenny, in for a pound….

He is serving a life sentence and the State is using his Fire Captain’s pension to cover his expenses. They will NEVER let him go, because he is profitable. He is also handicapped and suffereing from a terminal disease.

If the prisons were privatized, he would not last very long. Privatization is another form of capital punishment.

That is a horrible situation. The fact is is not what he found out after the fact, but what he thought when the incident occurred! You are right in the fact that his check is blood and the leach is the system sucking off him. This is surely disgusting , and I so agree, the umber of cases like this would EXPLODE across America and debtor prisons will be popping up everywhere. Cases like this are experimental for full out and out gulag!
